  1. Old people say there is a hidden pot of gold on the farm of Mr. Kieran Levery, in the townland of Cappagah, parish of Milane and Ballinahown Co. Offaly. It is under a large rock, and is guarded by a swarm of cats.
Once a man said he would go and look for the treasure. Near midnight he arrived at the rock and began to dig. No sooner did his spade strike the soil than a great swarm of cats appeared and began to tear him. He had to fly for his life. Nobody ever tried for the gold since.
The rock is called Carraig na gCat.
