  1. In the townland of Curraghlassa, Parish of Ferbane, Co. Offaly is a liss or a fort. There is a big stone and in it there are supposed to be fairies. This fort can be seen plainly. There is a hole in it and many go inside to see what is there. Time after time the rock grew there until St. Patrick blessed Ireland then it stopped growing.
    There is another fort in my district. It is a ruin of a house and every night there is a light seen going from that ruin towards Covert a place about a quarter of a mile from the fort.
