  1. Owen Mac Guinness, Moorack. He was working for Mr. Lamb. He had a cat very fond of him. When he would go work, the cat would meet him. The cat would follow him all day long. One night he went to a dance in Pullagh. It was a very dark night. WHen he was coming home, he had two men from Tinnymuck with him. There were riding on bicycles by the canal.Owen Mac Guiness rode into it. One of the men went to tell his mother. The boat-men took him out. He had a watch and a ten-shilling note in his pocket. None of them was harmed. His hat remained on the top of the water. He was about twenty years of age.
