  1. When the crows dive and quive in the air, it is a sign of a storm. When the curlew whistles, we are going to have rain. To see hens pecking themselves is a sign of rain. In the Summer months when the swallows fly near the grown, we will have rain.
    To see the sky red in the morning in the East is a sign of rain. To see the sun sinking red is a good sign. A rainbow is a sign of broken weather. A circle round the moon is a sign of a change in weather. When the wind is whistling outside, it is a sign of rain.
    If a fog goes up, we will have rain. When the mountains seen near, we will have rain. The sou'-west wind is a sign of rain. When the ducks are heard quacking, we will have rain.
