The food which was used long ago was mostly potatoes and meal cakes
The way they used to make the meal was to get two pieces of stone and put the corn in between the stones they sieved it, then the coarse seed they kept in a tub, they took out the fine seed and put it away for cakes.
The coarse stuff and water was poured on it was left there to get sour then it was eaten, it was called boxty.
They used to drink out of things called goblets, and also noggins made from wood
Tea was very seldom drunk except on special occasions

For their breakfast they had porridge and for supper they had potatoes. Some people had potatoes for every meal.
