  1. My home district is Killurine. It is in the parish of Kilbeagh and the barony of Geashill. There are forty families and the population is two hundred roughly.
    The most common family names is Dunne. There are more houses than long ago and they are nearly all slated.
    Most of the land is good.
    There are only seven men over seventy and they do not know Irish
    There is a hill called Mullagh hill and on its top stands a tower which was built by Brovost Saddler to give work to the peasantry around.
    On the bottom of the hill stands a large house which was burnt a few years ago.
