  1. There are four streets in Clara, "Main Street, Church Street, River Street, and Bridge Street.
    Main Street goes from William's corner to Larrisy's Corner. Then from Larrisey'c corner to Keefe's house it is Chruch Street. Then the road goes to Bogtown. It is called Bogtown becuase the land is boggy.
    Then the road goes to Moate with branches to Ballycumber and Horseleap.
    River Street goes fro MWilliam's corner to the old chapel then a road goes to Tullamore and another goes to Kilbeggan with a branch to Horseleap and Durrow.
    There is a bridge on the road from the old chapel to the old Gas house and before that bridge it was a ford.
    Bridge street starts from Day's corner and goes as far as the mill office and then a road goes from there to Ballycumber
