    Shrove Tuesday
Shrove Tuesday falls on the first of March. The people bake pancakes on that evening and sometimes a ring or sea pence is put into it. The boys and girls get excited trying who would get ring or the money. When the tea is over and the pancakes eaten, the children play games such as, table tennis, cards, rings, and draught. The children who are friends houses go home at eight o'clock. Children get out early from school to go for messages for their mothers. People get married on shrove Tuesday.
