  1. In the bog in Glaskill there once lived two old women who never could agree with the result that they were always arguing. One day they both bought a new pair of shoes which were exactly alike so to avoid a dispute they left them in a different place each night. One night they forgot this rule and in the morning when they got up they had a row about which owned each pair of shoes. At last they found out that one pair was a little larger than the other. So the only thing they could do was to measure each others feet, and they got so enraged with each other for not putting the shoes in their proper places that they burned them.
