- Many wild birds are to be found in my district. The blackbird, robins, crow and pheasant. The robin builds her nest in a hole in a mossy bank. She lays four or five eggs off a white colour streaked with red. The robin sits on the eggs for three weeks.
The robin has a red breast
The crow lays three eggs of a blue colour. The crow builds her nest in the tree tops. She makes her nest from sticks and mud.
The blackbird lays four eggs of a blue colour. It makes its nest of moss and dry grass. The pheasant lays fourteen or fifteen eggs of a brown colour. They build their nest on the ground. They sit(continues on next page)- Collector
