    Ring Worm : Rub it with the blood of a black cat, or juice of a house leek.
    Wart: Rub the wart with a black snail. tie the snail on a thorn bush. Before the snail is dead the wart will be better.
    A Sty: Prod with nine thorns off a gooseberry bust for nine mornings. After the ninth morning the sty will be better.
    A Cut: Pub a cobweb on it to stop the bleeding.
    A Headache: There is a head ache stone in Durrow Demense. There is water lying in a hole on top of the stone. This water, rubbed on the forehead, is supposed to cure a head ache.
    A Backache: There is also a backache stone in Durrow Demense. This stone has the shape of a man's back on it. St Columkille is supposed to have carried it from Rahan. People who have a pain in their back lie on their back on it. It is
