  1. When the giants were living in Ireland, a giant was standing on Croghan hill. He saw a witch on the Curragh of Kildare. He threw a stone at her. The witche's, dog saw the stone coming, he ran to meet it. He met it, in a field near Clonbullogue. He stopped it with his paw. It is said that the mark of the dog's paw is on one side, of the stone, and the man's hand on the other side.
