  1. Long ago a man in Clonsast owned a well. Some people asked him if he would let the well be blessed. He said he wouldn't. After that he filled up the well with stones. The next morning the water was over the field. When the man saw the field covered with the water he said he would let the well be blessed. The priest came and blessed the well. It never over-flowed afterwards. There is a pattern held at that well each year ever since.
