  1. In towns land of Cappincur in parish of Killeigh lived a man
named Purcell. Coming on day from Tullamore he saw an ass
on the road. The ass was feeble; old and hungry looking.
A stream, crossed by a foots stick separated the road from a
rich field. He took the ass in his arms, cross the rootstock
and left him to graze the rich grass.
In the field in Ballydownan, Geashill, one evening after a
football march, he wrestled six men in succession and
    threw the lot.
