  1. Weather Lore
    South wind always denotes rain, and swallows flying low. When a robin comes in it denotes frost or snow. When the smoke is going up straight it denotes fine weather.
    When the cat scratches a post, it denotes a storm. When the sea-gulls come inland there is a storm on the sea. When the day is going to be fine, the robin sing on the top of a tree, but when it is going to rain he cries at the bottom of it.
