    A pump.
    What is the difference between a boy putting up his hand to a teacher and a police man doing point duty? The boy putting up his hand means must go and can't stop, and the police man means must stop and can't go.
    How many feet has twenty sheep a shepherd and his dog?
    Two.
    If a ton of coal cost ten shillings what would a hundred come to?
    Ashes.
    What is it neither inside the house, nor outside the house, but still it is in the house?
    A window.
    What goes up a spout, up a spout down?
    An umbrella.
    What goes around the house, around the house and draws its harrow after it?
    A hen with chickens.
