    Slaunlis
This is perhaps the most common weed growing. It is to be met with in any pasture. It is better known as black-head for it puts up a long stern with a black head about two inches long on top. If anyone cut his finger it is a good remedy to chew the leaves and apply a poultice of it to the wound. It stops the blood and helps to cure the wound.
