  1. It does not matter to me how many inventions they bring into being. I believe that when all is said and done they are all lacking when results are taken into account. This for instance in case of the principal food for the household, I mean bread. The bread made at the present time was only fit for sickly people compared with the fine, strong bread that was made in homes and baked on a griddle.
    I think there are few housekeepers nowadays who could make a cake as round as a bicycle wheel, with oaten meal and water and bake it on a griddle. This griddle was a round piece of metal, very smooth at one side,
