  1. There are plenty of fields around our district that have names on them.
    There is a field in Hayestown owned by Joe Foley, Hayestown, Taghmon, Co,. Wexford, Barony of Bantry called the Sceach Field. It is so called because there is an old sceach growing in the middle of it.
    This man has another field by the name of Banville's Field. It is called Banville's Field because a man named Banville owned it long ago.
    This same man has another field called Haye's Field. It is called that name because a family of Hayes lived in a house in it long ago and there is a very deep pump in the same field still beside where the house was.
