  2. There was a woman named Ann Flood. She was a very able woman, and she lived in Garrenstackle, Bree, Enniscorthy, Co exford. In the year of '98 the English Hessiano were around. One day a soldier came in-to her house to light his pipe, and Miss Flood was after washing potatoes with a square headed Mallet. She hit him on the back of the head with it and killed him.
