There was a man one time by the name of John Kavanagh, and he lived near Clonroche, and he used to serve Mass for the priest of Cloughbawn.
One day when he was passin'
Biddy Nolans gate, the geese, a
gander, and the goslin's were on the road, and the gander ran after John and bit him.
The next day he had a stick with him and he killed a goslin', and Biddy ran out and said,
"What did you do that for"?
and his answer was,
"What made his Daddy bite I."
