- Wan night when I was comin'
home from town, I saw a
black figure like a man
comin' along with me, all the
time runnin' beside the car.
I did not take much notice
of it at first, but after a
while I said "Goodnight", an' he
said nothin'
I then told him to get up
on the car, or if not go away
or the pony would get frightened.
At that moment he turned
into a ball of fire an' rowled
in over the ditch.
