    Old Wexford rose and fought
    When great were trials and scared were joys
    And noble deeds were wrought
    And every town and valley
    And every hill and glen
    Echoed to the rally
    Of Wexford's marching men
    From the rock of (Carrigbyrne?)
    To the street of Adamstown
    And every where you'll turn
    You'll see thousands coming down
    With flags and banners waving
    To kneel upon the stones
