  1. One night my father was going home a piece with a friend in the vicinity of Rathgarogue. As he was coming home by himself when he was dazzled with lovely lights and as he thought taken into the grandest palace he ever saw, by ladies dressed in pure white. They brought him from chamber to chamber, and he thought they brought him into a beautiful dressing room when he dashed away from them only to find himself tumbling over a ditch all lights gone out and he did not know where he was till he landed at his own door in Berkeley.
