  1. About forty years ago there was a man born in Wexford Town named the "Rambling Bard" whose proper name was Michael O'Brien. He travelled round the county composing songs of passing events, and singing them.
    He used to attend fairs and races, and he composed songs on them.
    One day when he was in his native town, he took intoxicating drink and became drunk.
