    In the year 1823 there lived in the Maudlins, a man named Michael Kehoe. He lived in a big house, which had twenty windows, and eighteen large rooms.
    He was a very wealthy man, for he had a pension of nine pounds per week.
    When he was forty years of age, he married a young lady named Maria Pryne.
