  1. The local fairs of this district are Ferns, Carnew, Bunclody, and Enniscorthy. Ferns is a sheep and pig fair. Carnew is also a sheep and pig fair. Bunclody is a sheep and pig fair, and it is also a cattle fair. And Enniscorthy is a horse, cattle and sheep fair. The fairs are held in the streets in the towns.
Long ago, the fairs use to be held in the field and there used to be a price on the gate, and everyone had to pay going into the fair. The price was called a toll.
There is a fair-green in Enniscorthy where the fair was held. The fair is held in the towns once every month.
