  1. There is a Holy well in Ferns known as St. Mogue's well. There is another Holy well in Kiltilly known as St. Mary's well. If anyone had warts and went to the Holy well and rubbed the warts, when they come home the warts would go after a couple of days.
    There is another Holy well in Brideswell known as St. Brigid's well.
    There is a stone over the well and the mark of Brigids foot is in the stone. One day there was a man fencing and he put the stone up on the fence. Next day the stone was back on the well. He put it back again; Next day the stone was broken.
