  1. Some distance from my house there is a field which is called the Race Course Field. How it got that name, was, because there were a races held there year ago.
    There are old lanes around this district. One of them is known as Payne's-Lane. The reason it got that name was people by that name lived there.
    There is a stream which is called lough leitrim. This stream flows outside Carney.
    There are more streams called the Mine river, The White Stream, The Red Boy River.
    There are a few more old lanes Bells Lane, The Baheen Lane, Heel-Fires Lane, Bats Lane, The Long Lane. Some more fields are The Well Field, the Isle Field, The Bank Field, The Pond Field, The Big Meadow, The Tub Field, The Ferny Field, The Sugar Field, The Forge Field, The Gate House Field, and the Back Ban.
