  1. It is said if anyone had a heart-burn a spoonful of breadsoda will cure it.
    Rheumatism can be cured if parafin oil is rubbed on the joints.
    If a child had thrush, and if its mouth was rubbed with honey it is said that it would cure it.
    It is said that if you take a drink of water or milk it would cure the hic-cough.
    If sore eyes were bathed in cold tea it would cure them.
    If buttermilk and bread soda are rubbed on a scald it is said that it will cure it.
    To cure a severe cut either flour or paper is put on it to stop it bleeding.
    If a person got a burn it is a good thing to rub it in your hair .It prevents it from stinging.
    To cure corns it is a good remedy to steep an ivy leaf in vinegar and apply the leaf to the corn.
    To cure head ache it is a good relief to tie a bandage tightly round the head.
