    Pisreoga.
    Taking the "profit". This meant that certain individual were believed to be able to take the butter which should have appeared in the churn when the milk was churned.
    The person who "took" the butter prevented it from coming in his neighbour's churn and by some means got it into his own house.
    May Day.
    Old people some years ago would not give a present of milk on a May Day but they would sell it.
    Trees.
    The white-thorn is considered by some unlucky but this belief is well nigh forgotten. The old people would not allow a beast of any kind especially a cow to be struck with a whitethorn stick when
