    Why does a chicken cross the road?
    To get to the other side.
    Why does a cow look over the ditch?
    Because she can't look under it.
    If it takes a yard and a half to make a coat and a trousers what will it take to make the suit?
    The waistcoat.
    What goes up when the rain comes down ?
    An umberella.
    What is it that is full of holes and yet it holds water ?
    A sponge.
    What is it you break directly when you name it?
    Silence.
    What goes up with boots and comes down with none ?
    A football.
    When was beef the highest ?
    When the cow jumped over the moon.
    Why does a hen pick a pot ?
    Because she can't lick it.
    What turns without moving ? Milk
    What is the deepest thing in the world ?
    A tailor's timbel.
    What goes around the house all day and sleeps in a corner all night ?
    The nails in a man's boots.
    What is it that the more you take off it, the bigger it gets ?
    A grave,
