    Mr Roche owned at that time the farm...

    Mr Roche owned at that time the farm referred to in No.1. now the property of Mr Wm. Dowling. Some years before I met him he was returning from the fair of Shillclagh accompanied by Mr Paul Doyle, a neighbour and the biggest farmer I believe in this parish. Mr Doyle is dead too but his five sons and three daughters still live. Coming around the corner of Camolin they saw a Mr Kinsella a visitor going upstairs to bed about eleven oclock, having a lighted candle in his hand. They knocked and were admitted by the proprietor - Kinsella -
