  1. The people ate three times a day long ago. The food they ate was potatoes and stir-about. The people worked before their breakfast.
    Butter milk was the most usual milk used.
    They sat around the table and the stir-about was put into a tub and left on the table and each one had a spoon and they all ate out of the one tub.
