  1. Some people in former years never wore boots until they were finished school. Children in the present day go to school barefooted in Summer. There were also boots worn in olden days called lastic boots. Some old people at the present day wear them still. There are no laces in them. There is lastic in the sides of them to make stretch. There are men in the district that repair boots
    Clogs are not worn as much now as in olden times. Clogs are made by Mr M. Leary, Ballytasna, Oulart Gorey Co Wexford.
    Leather was never made in the district.
    There are no sayings connected with the feet.
