  1. Mr. Furlong knew a travelling man called Tom 'Trot' who never wore boots to his knowledge. He was generally seen with a Máilín of potatoes and always in a kind of Sodar.
    Mr Furlong also remembers James Daly, a neighbour here, dead twenty years using the ritual 'Muc Avoy' in throwing out water at night.
    There were TEN shoemakers in the parish when Mr. Furlong was a young man - sixty years ago. They were
