Jaspar OConnor was 70 years of age at the Rebellion. He came home in tatters riding a white pony and 'jumped the pig house' to show I suppose he was not downhearted. He died 13 years later and his grave is in Ballyvaldon graveyard.
Thomas Cullen was brought home by his brother 'on a horse.' His grave is in Ballyvaldon graveyard also with the following poem inscribed to his memory inscribed thereon
Let patriots stop awhile and pause
For his country's freedom and Erin's cause
He died a victim to oppression's rage
Freedom, his banner Liberty his badge
Orderly united for fight designed
