There's a lane on the road to Newbawn an a big black dog is there every night.

There's a lane on the road to Newbawn an a big black dog is there every night. Wan night a man went to meet his brother an' when he was goin out in the gate a big black dog passed by the gate an' went over
The man went down to the road an' walked on over after the dog, an when he was in about wan hundred yards of his brother the big dog divided in two halves, an each part went in over the ditch at each side of the road an' the two men ran home for their lives an' the black dog is often seen goin there still.
