  1. When the children are playing games in the street they are always jealous when certain girls amongst them are picked to play some important part. To avoid they say the following rhymes
    1
    "My Mother and your Mother
    were washing out the clothes
    My Mother gave your Mother
    A box in the nose
    What colour blood ran
    from your Mother's nose?
Shut your eyes and think "Red"
    R-e-d stands for red
And if you do not want to play
Take your hoop and run away"
The girl on whom the last word falls is appointed
Here is another long rhyme. We use it when a lot of children are playing
    2
    Three little teddy bears
    went to a shop
    What do you want?
