A number of children gather together and sit on the chairs if they are playing it in doors, but if they are playing the game out of doors they will sit on a low all. Once girl stand in front of the children and she says you are not to say "yes aye or no" or green, white, yellow, red. or pink, or if so you are out of the game. Then the leader says to one of the children " what will you give to the poor old sailor. If the child says black cap the leaser says a black cap after her to try to make her say "yes". If she succeeds the child gets three slaps. Then the leader passes on to the next girl and says the same thing as she said to the one before her.
