  1. In 1798 when the people of Wexford were out fighting, the men used meet their wives at Ferry-Carrig.
    The women would have food and a change of clothing for them.
    Then they would eat their dinners, hiding in the bushes. The Yeos knew they were hiding and they would go around cutting the tops of the bushes.
    Many people were caught on account of their babies crying.
