  1. There is a treasure hidden in the quarry in Castlebridge for more than a thousand years. One day Mr Quirk of Ardcavan went into a cave in the quarry in which the treasure was supposed to be hidden. He brought a lamp with him and saw an iron-bound chest but failed to open it. H shook the chest and heard the jingle of money. Unable to bring the chest home with him he went and got some tools and came back to the cave but when he got there the chest was gone. For some time he looked around for some sign of the missing treasure, but his luck was out and he did not find any.
