  1. The "banshee" is spoken of all over the country, feared by many people but held in awed respect by all. In Wexford she is generally referred to as the "bow." This title may have originated from the fact that she is constantly bowing while she keens, but more than likely it comes from the word badhbh (or Bow) one of the Pagan godessess of the Gael.
    The above will serve as an introduction to the following stories about the "Banshee" or the "Bow" as she is more commonly called in Wexford.
