    Sting of Bee Cure: When you get a sting from a bee on the hand, get a "blue rag" and immediately lay it on the sting and tie a bandage around it and leave it remain there for a few hours and your hand will not swell.
    A Birth mark Cure: If a child has a birth mark a very good cure is to go to a wake and bring the person with you and touch the birth mark with the head of the corpse and as the corpse decays the birth mark decays.

  2. Heart-burn Cure: Chew the bark of a fir stick.
    Pain in stomach: Chew dandelion.
    Sty on the Eye: Stab with thorn of gooseberry bush nine times.
    Fever: Heat cabbage leaves and place them on the soles of the feet.
    Consumption: Eat black cockles.
    Pain in the back: Carry a raw potato in your pocket.
