  1. In Rathmacknee - near the Castle - there is a lake which is said to be haunted
    Every night, at a late hour, there is a dog seen sitting on that lake.
    It is said that there was a yeoman killed there in '98.
    Not far from the lake is a well which is called "St Martin's well."
    The water in this well is greatly used by the people around for curing sore eyes and warts.
