  1. There is a place in Johnstown called "Yeomanary Tower". It is situated in the parish of Piercestown.
    In the year '98 the yeomen hung the insurgents in that tower. A priest called Fr. Doyle was hanged there, and it is said that it wa a traitor who hung him.
    Any persom who passes by that tower after 10 pm is said to see the priest, and the shadow of him follows for some distance, and then when the person comes in ot a house where there is a light, the person faints.
