  1. "Ginike" - wore or seaweed that washes up on our strand. It is soft green stuff - the outer skin is taken off and inside is eaten raw. It is good for rheumatics and rhuematism.
    Sand fine - weed (on strand) growing on banks near strand. Cures headaches.
    Sea Kale - years ago it was stewed with fish.
    Sea Tansy - good for sore eyes.
    Bachelor's Buttons - pinkish or reddish flower on green stalk. Cut stalk and flowers and hang on ceiling near fire to wither. Cut flowers off and draw it like tea. This is a very good cure for colds and also blood and boils tec. It has a very bitter taste and dark color.
    Soot water - very good for boils.
    Lime Water - very good for blood also. Get fresh lime from kiln. Put in a
