  1. This well is situated in the townland of ? in the corner of a field. It is not in the vicinity of an old Church. It is not near any outstanding landmark. It is not situated on a height or on an island. The seashore Nethertown Strand is quite near, being only about a quarter of a mile distant.
    There is a black sally bush growing near this well. There are seven or eight huge stones around the well to act as a protecting wall.
    St. Edward is the patron saint of wells.
    The annual pattern is now extinct.
    The well is frequented for cure of ailments such as a burn or scald.
    There are no special rounds.
    There are no special traditional prayers other than Our Father, Hail Mary, etc.
    The water is considered efficacious for cure of a burn.
    The water is applied to affected part. It is also drunk and carried away in bottles.
    The water is used for no other purpose.
    No offerings are made on completion of customary rituals.
