  1. Herbs.
    Buachalan, Thistles, Spunk, and Tansey are very harmful because they spread rapidly and because they take all the good out of the soil.
    Dandeline, Centry, and Gilteac are very useful because they have medicinal properties curing consumption, and Dropsy.
    Planting Leaf, primrose leaf, and marshmallows boiled together in fresh lard will make a very useful ointment for cuts, rash, etc.
    Gilteac or broom, as it is sometimes boiled and the water drunk is a cure for Dropsy.
    Field Parsley boiled in new milk is a cure for Kidney complaints.
    Passion Shamrock has a red spot in the middle of the leaf and it is said that it grew at the foot of the cross where our Lord was Crucified.
