  1. There is a rath on the land of Harpurstown and long ago some people were afraid to go near it for it was said that one day when a man was working there a whirlwind rose and blew the buttons off his coat and some of the hair off his head. The man himself thought it was fairies so he went home and for years after neither he nor the people of the neighbourhood ever ventured near it.
